Volunteers play an essential role in the development of engaging programs and events for the residents of Yedam Nursing Home and many other modern senior living facilities. Volunteers enrich every facet of society by donating their time, energy, and expertise to worthy causes. I volunteer and learn an endless life lesson.

Volunteering in any senior living facility provides valuable opportunity for me. Developing connections with locals is a gratifying experience for me. Preparing meals for senior residents not only brightens their day, but also give much-needed support and encouragement. Loneliness has been associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular disease. With that in mind, I consider the impact I may have on someone's life by taking the time to sit down and talk with them or providing them with a meaningful experience.
